Bio/CV:
Michael Iarocci is an Assoicate Dean for the Division of Arts & Humanities and a Professor of Modern Spanish Literature and Culture in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UC Berkeley. He recieved his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and is the author of two books, Enrique Gil y la genalogía de la lírica moderna (Juan de la Cuesta, 1999), and Properties of Modernity: Romantic Spain, Modern Europe and the Legacies of Empire (Vanderbildt University Press, 2006).
