My advice to incoming students is be gracious with yourself. Everything you're encountering is new, so just take your time learning how to navigate this space and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Being in DLT offers an exciting opportunity both to connect with my arts and humanities peers and to perform outreach for the fields of study which I love. I am proactive, confident in engaging with others, and passionate about sharing Cal values and ideas, particularly in encouraging new students to join the A&H community. As a re-entry transfer student, I believe that the DLT provides me with a valuable opportunity to work on creative strategies to enhance the integration of non-traditional students into the undergraduate A&H community.
