Aimee Chang is Director of Divisional Programs in the Arts & Humanities Dean's Office, developing and implementing initiatives that further divisional goals, including faculty fellowship and grant programs and graduate student support.
Prior to joining A&H she worked in the office of the Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs at UC's Office of the President and as a curator and educator in university art museums including BAMPFA, the Hammer Museum at UCLA, and The Blanton Museum at the University of Texas at Austin. In those positions she organized exhibitions, including co-curating AICA's 2006 Best Thematic Show nationally, Thing: New Sculpture from Los Angeles; artist residencies, including the Hammer Museum's program funded by the James Irvine Foundation's Arts Innovation Fund; and public programs including The Blanton's award-winning SoundSpace, curated by then-graduate student Steve Parker. She has a B.A. in world literature and cultural studies from UC Santa Cruz and an M.A. in art education from UT Austin.
