Mikumo Student Support Fund for Research in Japan

The Division of Arts and Humanities makes available 2 grants of up to $5,000 for graduate students who are traveling to Japan in Summer or Fall each year for a research stay, internship, or academic program (e.g. workshop, summer school). Applications are open to graduate students from any department in the Division of Arts & Humanities who are studying or researching topics related to Japan. Funds can be applied to program costs (e.g. fees for access to archives, workshops fees, summer school tuition), housing costs, transportation (e.g. flights or train tickets), and incidentals/meals. More information will be available when the application cycle reopens in Spring 2023.

Summer Travel Grants for Arts & Humanities Graduate Students

Each year, the Dean's Office makes available 5 travel grants of up to $2,000 for graduate students who are attending a summer school or program. Applications are open to graduate students from any department in the Division of Arts & Humanities. Funds can be applied to summer school tuition and related costs (e.g. housing, transportation, and program materials). More information will be available when the application cycle reopens in Spring 2023.
